Bunny’s Shoebox Journey brings the story of the Christmas Shoebox Appeal to life for our smallest learners.
Through this beautifully illustrated, heart-warming story...
Helga, aged 4, is one of 10 siblings that live in two rooms with their mum and dad. Not long ago she suffered a burn on her scalp. This shoebox meant the world to her.
The children were overwhelmed with their shoeboxes. They will use every single thing inside. The school age children were especially grateful to get school supplies and the eldest daughter was very happy with the puzzles.
Whether you send it to someone far away that you sadly can't hug this year or give it to your next door neighbour to thank them for their support over the last year, it will definitely warm their heart to know that you've given a child the gift of joy this Christmas.
Keelin O'Connor has committed to running a whopping 100km in one month in aid of Christmas Shoeboxes. It's not an easy time of year to commit to a daily run so THANK YOU Keelin- every single child who receives one of your shoeboxes will be grateful beyond what you will ever know!
Instead of running around collecting and checking shoeboxes this November, we will be running around Monaghan in the cold on the dark evenings after work- this should prove quite a challenge as we are both very unfit! We will aim to complete a 5k run in December all being well!!
