This Privacy policy applies to Team Hope and governs data collection and usage. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

TEAM HOPE is an Irish, interdenominational Christian development aid charity, working with children, and through them into their families and communities in Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union and Africa (Registered Charity no. 20047627).

We at Team Hope respect your right to privacy and agree to comply with our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation May 2018 (GDPR). The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to outline how we deal with any personal data you provide to us. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable and as such, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these other websites.

Information Collected

You may give us information about yourself, when you enquire about our activities, fill in forms on our site Team Hope or correspond with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise provide us with personal data. This includes, but is not limited to, information you provide when you share information via our websites. This information may include your first name, surname, postal address, e-mail address, phone number, date of birth, your activity in support of Team Hope, your personal preferences about being contacted and your comments about our services.

We are also working closely with third parties (including, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, data analytics service providers, search information providers, credit finance agencies) and we may receive information about you from them. All such processing will be done in compliance with GDPR.

Purposes for which we hold your Information:

  • To provide you with receipts for items you may have offered supported towards.

It may become necessary to disclose your personal information to third parties in the event of these organisations being involved in the business of providing support to Team Hope in line with our data management.

All information you provide to us is held on secure servers by our Data systems managers. The nature of the Internet is such that we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. However, we take all reasonable steps (including appropriate technical and organisational measures) to protect your Personal Data.

Updating, Verifying and Deleting Personal Data

You may inform us of any changes in your Personal Data, and in accordance with our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulations 2018, we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly. You have the right to be informed about any Personal Data we hold on you or to have your Personal Data updated, amended or removed from our database. You have the right at all times, to object to processing of your personal data which you find intrusive, excessive or unwarranted. Team Hope will respect your right to do so, but may need to continue such processing where required do to so by law, or within the terms of an existing contractual arrangement.

In certain circumstances, you have the ‘Right to be Forgotten’. This means that you can request that Team Hope removes any and all references to you from our records and systems. We will comply with all such requests in a timely manner, as required by the Data Protection Regulation, unless other operational or legal obligations require us to retain such data for a particular purpose or period of time.

Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this page so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. Team Hope will occasionally update this Privacy policy to reflect company and supporter feedback. Team Hope encourages you to periodically review this policy to be informed of how Team Hope is protecting your information.
