Bunny's Shoebox Journey is our beautifully illustrated story that introduces young children to the joy of giving, the importance of sharing and the difference one small act of kindness can make. With a special foreword by Dr Mary O'Kane, Lecturer in Psychology and Education and Parenting Expert, the book offers families and early-years educators a wonderful opportunity to explore generosity, empathy and the joy of thinking about others.

Everything began to change when Suavis joined a community savings group called "Tugehamwe Twiyungunganye", meaning “Let’s get together for progress.” Through the group, Suavis received training not only in savings and small business development, but also in financial management and nutrition.

Behind each destination on this list is a child who felt remembered, valued and loved. Your support helped deliver not just a present, but a moment of joy, dignity and hope that will be carried long after Christmas Day.

Elizabeth in Malawi is the mother of Aida and Madaliso who received Christmas Shoeboxes all the way from Ireland in 2024. Elizabeth is also part of a piggery project started by Team Hope’s partners in her area. The profits will allow her to feed her children regularly, buy small livestock, repair their home, and most importantly, send Aida and Madaliso back to school. They dream of becoming a teacher and a doctor.

In 2024, with your help, we sent an incredible 171,675 Christmas Shoebox gifts to children across 13 countries in Eastern Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. Here you can read the stories from some of the children, see how much your Christmas Shoebox gift really meant to them and how it brought joy, happiness and hope to their lives.

By being part of this project Espérance is now able to offer her children a more healthy, safe and secure life and an education that will give them more opportunities to become parents who can do the same and more for their own children.
