6 months ago the news of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine shocked the world. Since then at least 12 million Ukrainians have fled their homes with over 5 million leaving the country entirely in search of safety. Team Hope have been working with our partners to help those in Ukraine as well as in the neighboring countries of Romania and Moldova to support refugees.

Medtronic’s RDN Operations Team based Galway took on the running of Team Hope’s Galway City Checking Centre. Over 300 volunteers, comprised mainly of Medtronic staff, were engaged during the month of November resulting in just over 7,000 shoebox gifts helping vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

Last year, with your help, we sent an outstanding 178,639 Christmas Shoebox gifts to children across 13 countries in Eastern Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. Through our partners in the neighbouring countries of Moldova and Romania Team Hope is assisting those fleeing conflict.

Team Hope is assisting those fleeing conflict in the Ukraine through our partners in Moldova & Romania, to provide shelter, hygiene kits, food and psychosocial support to those, primarily women and children, who have crossed the border to escape the war.
