JOIN TEAM HOPE AS A RETAIL PARTNER AND BE PART OF IRELAND’S BIGGEST GIFT-GIVING CAMPAIGN—OUR CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL!

Psychotherapy is an often overlooked vital element of emergency response. In our partner’s centre in Moldova displaced Ukrainians have been offered counselling sessions for PTSD, art therapy sessions, children’s therapy and integration programmes.

I used to work as a lecturer at a Mechanical Engineering College before the conflict...It was difficult to comprehend why our peaceful Ukraine was torn apart, and the emotional toll was immense. 

We are hoping to start a Christmas Shoebox Appeal checking centre team in Athlone! We are looking for local volunteer coordinators to help lead a team of volunteers to make the Christmas Shoebox Appeal happen!

The Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal holds a special place in my heart. I hope that every parent in Ireland encourages their child to create a shoebox for another child, which will have a lasting positive impact on your child's wellbeing and encourage a spirit of volunteerism and giving to others for many years to come.

Celebrating the life of Becky Ashmore (née Bolger) who passed two years ago yet still missed by her husband Kent and her three children Harriet, Arthur and Wallis, who wish for her loving and generous spirit to be remembered by helping others.

Medtronic’s RDN Operations Team based Galway took on the running of Team Hope’s Galway City Checking Centre. Over 300 volunteers, comprised mainly of Medtronic staff, were engaged during the month of November resulting in just over 7,000 shoebox gifts helping vulnerable children in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

Team Hope has worked in Ukraine for decades, through our partner based in Odessa. They will now be mobilising to meet emergency needs such as providing emergency food, hygiene kits or other essential support.

Our Christmas Shoebox Appeal officer, Theresa came us with this amazing way of spreading her shoebox shopping over the whole year and of keeping track of what you already have (which can be the hardest part!)
