Armenia

Since the late 1990’s we have been working through our Christian partners who are based in Yerevan, helping to relieve the scars of earthquake, wars and poverty.

We work primarily in the cities of Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Dilijan and Sevan. Whether through lakeside childrens camps, food programmes to refugees or community outreach to those most in need, we look at bringing real and lasting hope for the future.

Team Hope is focused through our projects and programmes to create a system of Self-sufficiency with all our in-country partners. We do this through an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method.

Through the years there has been a wide variety of support. Construction teams of volunteers, new water provision, accommodation developments for childrens centres and much more.

Armenia was one of the first countries to become involved in the Christmas Shoebox programme, initially reaching out to the earthquake victims in Gyumri and Vanadzor.

Our Christmas Shoebox distribution volunteer teams have witnessed first-hand just how special these gifts are to each of the children who receive them. We are not currently sending Christmas Shoebox gifts to Armenia due to the government system of tax imposition, but hope to do so again in the future.

Take a look at our 90 second video that has been viewed by over 50 million people worldwide.
