Addressing Hunger (SDG 2)

Malawi food program Team Hope
Malawi food provision program, 2015.

This is a food provision program we run for orphaned children in Malawi. This picture was taken after the flooding in 2015.

Orphan care and nutrition foods are a large activity within Malawi for Team Hope.

In Malawi, our sustainable projects include:

  • Bee keeping – Rising income through expanding the current Bee keeping programme, focusing on the market for both honey and beeswax
  • Goat breeding project – This project is expected to raise both food and income through successfully breeding.
  • Winter cropping programme – Aimed at providing a means of dealing with climate change

Our Community Development Project work allow us serve children, their families and communities in need, in a way that allows communities to respond in a holistic way. Food security and self-sustainable farming projects are currently proving very successful with Team Hope’s in-country partners.
